Federal University Otuoke Library was opened at the establishment of Federal University Otuoke in 2012 through a decree of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Currently the over (50, 000) volume of library collection is housed in the Federal University Otuoke Central Library, the Bruce Powel Library and Faculty Libraries with the sitting capacity of about 1500. The central library is the hub of library services where there are Technical Services (Acquisition, Cataloguing and Classification,) the Reading Halls – Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Science and Technology ; Reference and Serial collection , Theses and Dissertation, University and Government Documents.
The building also houses the Library Bindery and University Bookshop. The Bruce Powel building is designated for the electronic library. This building houses the e-granary collection and the Information Literacy laboratory with 100 computers with which over 50 databases of e-resources can be accessed. The Information Literacy laboratory is a multi-media facility with equipment and software applications for interdisciplinary study and research. All Faculty libraries have a minimum sitting capacity for 50 library users , internet and e-resources access. The Central Library, Bruce Powel e-library and all Faculty Libraries are connected through a Local Area Network (LAN) making the Federal University Otuoke Library and Integrated Information Network.
